The ebook Formats

There is no form of theft protection inserted into these files - no password codes to remember to gain access to the books.

If you do not have the appropriate reader software, please take the links on the ebook pages to the appropriate software provider and download it. Both readers are free.

 When you purchase an ebook here, you gain permanent access to that ebook and associated files. You have unlimited download capabilities for that book. You are entitled to any and all book updates and subsequent editions as well! There are no time limits on your access to the ebook.

Your access to your books is through a User Id and a Password. Click on the 'Buyer Login' link and enter the information. Your own personal page is then generated providing you access to your ebooks and your account information.

When an ebook is purchased, the system assigns you a unique User Id and Password. Undoubtedly you will want to change both to something more appropriate. Just take the 'Buyer Login' link and then the 'Update User Information' link.

There is also a Purchaser History page that lists all of your purchases. It also displays links to any gift or bulk purchase coupon text files should you loose your original copy we emailed.

If you should forget your password, the Buyer Login page has a check box for just such situations. We can email it to you as long as your email address on file here is the correct one.

Privacy Concerns and the Security of Online Transactions 

Books can be purchased by mailing in your payment or by using the secure PayPal system which offers you a wide variety of payment options. When payment is received by us, you are emailed your receipt which contains your login and password. When you mail in a check for the purchase, as soon as we get the check, you will be sent by email your confirmation and ebook access information.

All personal information is always transmitted over a SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to provide the highest level of security for you. Whenever sensitive information is to be transmitted, such as your login data and so on, the site switches automatically into secure mode. We use a secure 128-bit encryption system, the best that is available. This site is secure and confidential.

Additionally, Broquard eBooks does not believe in storing any information about you as a "cookie" on your computer. Most shopping cart type sites store all sorts of personal information in cookies on your computer. We do NOT. You can surf this site with anonymity; you are recognized only when you Login with your User Id and Password.

The Shopping Cart, which is accessed from the "Make an Order" link,  handles all of the details for making a purchase.

The shopping cart consists of a set of sequential pages to collect and process all the information required. The first order page is crucial because it determines what type of order is being placed, such as a new buyer or a returning buyer.

If you are a return ebook buyer, and begin by so identifying yourself, the system will not let you accidentally purchase an ebook that you already own. Further, these purchases will be added to your current login id.

If you know what you wish to purchase, just take the 'Make an Order' link. Alternatively, while browsing the ebook description pages, you can click on the 'Add to Shopping Cart' button. When you are done browsing, take the 'Make an Order' link.

The check out procedure consists of filling out needed information on several sequential order pages; click the 'Continue' button each time. Your purchase is processed using a secure transmission (SSL). Once the necessary information has been collected, you are then sent to the PayPal site to carry out the actual payment process. There you can use a charge card or check or debit card for payment. Alternatively, you are given a page to print and mail in with your payment.

At a later point it time, when PayPal has notified us that the payment is completed, we generate a receipt that contains your login and password. It is emailed directly to you using the email address given to PayPal. When using charge cards, the entire process is completed in a matter of minutes. However, certain forms of payment to PayPal may take several days to finalize. Your email receipt from us is only sent once the payment process is complete. Please be patient if you have elected to use a payment method that requires a couple of business days to complete. With electronic media, in general the rule of thumb is "All sales are final." However, there can be extenuating circumstances. The refund policy differs between 'individual buyers' and 'bulk buyers'.

Individual Buyers: If you contact us within ten calendar days asking for a refund and if we can verify that you have NOT taken the Buyer Login link and downloaded the ebook, then we will mail you a refund check. On the other hand, if you have logged in and downloaded the ebook, then if we cannot find a workable solution to any problem you might have with that ebook, such as not being able to "read" the book because of software problems, a refund may be given at the discretion of Broquard eBooks.

Make someone's day by giving them a gift of an ebook! Whether you have purchased from us before or not,  you can order gift ebooks. Take the 'Make an Order' link and choose either New Individual Purchaser Gift Order or Returning Individual Purchaser Gift Order.

When the purchase is complete, you receive an email receipt along with an attachment file that you can print with Wordpad that contains the individual ebook User Id and Password along with instructions on how to get to the site and download their gift ebook. Also you can directly download this attachment file when the purchase is complete, if you do not want to wait on the arrival of the email version.

If a text is adopted by a school, the school is entitled to as many instructor copies as are needed. Or perhaps you want to review the book for possible adoption in your course.

You will be asked to provide appropriate information on your potential review, such as the magazine, site and so on for which you are doing the review.
