| News: Press Release: C++ for Computer Science and Engineering | ||
| December 1, 2003 | ||
| The Third Edition of the text is now available. Many typographical
errors are corrected in this version along with much better copy editing.
The book has been updated to use Microsoft's .NET Visual C 7.0 compiler. A
New Syntax Summary has been added.
Written for the novice programmer, this book assumes no prior knowledge of programming. It gradiently introduces the main elements of the language, step by step. Each chapter has three main sections. The Basics Section presents the new features of the language. This is followed by two applications sections, one geared for Computer Science majors and one for Engineering majors. Thus, the student can see solid examples of the language's application in their field. This text is designed for a college level introductory C++ course for both the Computer Science and Engineering curricula and is being so utilized at Illinois Central College. It meets CS1 requirements. |
