In the third in the Trident series, Jon Brown and his fiancé Alison go on a lengthy quest to find out the truth behind the destruction of her family's castle some twenty-one years ago. The dragon guides them to the original person who led the attack on her family's castle. The Archmage Sarah le'Gard has a tall tower but has not been seen for five years. Exploring the tower leads them to the ultimate answer.

Celtic and Finnish mythology provides the back ground for the novel which is both a mystery and a love story.
